Reporting a problem

Because your files never reach us, we cannot see what went wrong unless you tell us. The most useful things to include are which tool you used, what you expected, what happened instead, and which browser and device you were on.

Please do not send us a private document to show the problem. If a file is needed, send one you are happy for someone else to read, or make a small copy with the private parts taken out.

What we can and can’t help with

We can help with how a tool works, a result that looks wrong, a file a tool refuses, Arabic text that comes out broken, and ideas for new tools.

We can’t recover or remove a password you don’t know, open, unlock or edit files for you, or tell you whether a bank, a court or a government office will accept a document. Because every tool runs on your device, we have no copy of your files and can’t restore one you have lost.
