What to expect
The picture is placed on top of the page. Text does not flow around it the way it would in a word processor.
JPG and PNG are supported, and a PNG’s transparency is kept, which is what makes it right for logos and stamps. If a browser will not open an iPhone HEIC photo, convert it to JPG first.
A photo the camera stored sideways is turned upright for you; the handle lets you set any other angle yourself.

Once saved, the picture is part of the page, so keep the original file if you expect to move or replace it later.

Is this really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no daily limit, and no watermark on your file.
Are my file and my picture uploaded?
No. Both are read inside your browser, on your device, and neither is sent to us or anyone else.
What kinds of picture can I use?
JPG and PNG. A PNG with a see-through background stays see-through, which is what you want for a logo or a stamp.
Will the picture lose any quality?
No. It goes into the file exactly as it came, rather than being saved again on the way. The only exception is a picture our reader cannot make sense of, which the browser redraws first.
My photo is sideways everywhere else. What happens here?
Phones often store a photo sideways with a note saying which way up it goes. Browsers obey that note, and so do we, so the picture lands the way you saw it on the page here.
Can I add a logo to PDF pages, all of them at once?
Yes. “Put it on every page” drops it in the same corner of all of them at once, and you can still move any single one afterwards.
Can I fade it, for a watermark?
Yes, with the strength slider. For a proper watermark across a whole document, the watermark tool will do a better job once it is ready.
Does adding a picture make the file much bigger?
It adds roughly the size of the picture, once, however many pages it appears on. A photo straight from a phone can be several megabytes, so shrink it first if size matters.
Why can’t I open my password-protected PDF?
Protected files are encrypted, so nothing can be added to them. Remove the password first, then open the file again.
