How to make certificates with names from Excel

Choose one certificate or a list, the kind of certificate, and whether it is in Arabic or English.

Type the name, or choose your Excel or CSV list and the column with the names. Change the wording, the design and the colour, and add your logo, signatures and date.

Press “Save the certificate” for one PDF, or “Make certificates” and choose one PDF with them all or a ZIP with a PDF for each name.

What to expect
Only for certificates you are entitled to issue; there are no templates of universities, ministries or official bodies, on purpose.
The text is drawn as shapes, so it looks the same everywhere but can’t be selected or edited in the PDF afterwards.
A list can hold up to 2,000 names; split a longer one into several files.
A certificate made here carries no digital signature: a picture of a signature doesn’t prove who signed it.

Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many certificates you make.
Are the names uploaded?
No. The certificates are made in your browser, and your list is read on your device. When you make certificates from a list, the page sends us one count (that a list was used, its size in broad bands, and the date and time it arrives), never a name or anything from the file. The privacy page explains it.
Which certificates may I make?
Only ones you or your organisation are entitled to issue: appreciation, training, participation and school certificates. The tool has no templates of universities or official bodies and is not for degrees or official diplomas.
How do I make certificates with names from Excel?
Put the names in one column with a heading in the first row, save the file as .xlsx or .csv, choose “From a list” and pick that column. Other columns, such as a course or a grade, can go into the text by typing their heading in curly brackets, like {Course}.
Can the date be Hijri?
Yes: Gregorian, Hijri (Umm al-Qura) or both, with Western or Arabic-Indic digits.
One PDF or a ZIP?
One PDF puts every certificate on its own page, which is easiest to print. A ZIP holds a separate PDF for each person, named after them, which is easiest to send one by one.
Is the Arabic correct?
Yes. Arabic is shaped with its letters joined and in the right order, with numbers and English words where they belong, in the preview and in the PDF alike.
